DeserTech Gala – Great Green Wall Innovation Leaders

We are honored to invite you to The DeserTech Gala – Sub-Sahara in Be'er Sheva, as part of the GGW Seminar for African innovation leaders.

The festive event is part of the first-of-its-kind program which brings together innovation leaders from 10 sub Saharan countries, to work together to assess burning desertification challenges in their country, and design collaborations bringing Isreaeli technology and expertise to tackle those needs.

This program is a joint initiative of the Global Mechanism of the UNCCD, the Great Green Wall Accelerator and DeserTech Innovation Community.

The project supports the GGW countries in identifying specific challenges in the fields of agriculture, infrastructure, energy, and water including in terms of:

• Water scarcity and use efficiency
• Land degradation
• Extreme temperatures
• Connecting remote communities

The Gala is a great opportunity to network with key African players and local DeserTech stakeholders such as – entrepreneurs, investors, academia, and industry to create international connections.
